However, Craft-Bilt pleated screens are extremely forgiving and do not necessarily require a level opening. For instance, along the run of your opening, our screens will allow a rise of ½ an inch or a drop of ¼ inch.
- Installation Process – We take pride in how easy and effective our pleated screen installation can be for you. After laying out all your parts, begin by fastening your top track, followed by fastening your jamb and base-jamb to the sides of the opening, and finally lay down the ultra low sill that features convenient two-sided tape. Once these parts are correctly installed, it is time to insert the screen cartridge. Using a piece of wood to spread the top track, line up the pull-bar retainer and insert. Remove the wood and align the bottom of the screen cartridge to the bottom sill until it snaps into place.
- Ensure Smooth Operation – After the installation process is complete, make sure your pleated screen runs smoothly by extending and retracting it. If you find that the pull-bar does not completely close to the jamb, your screen does not fully retract, or the system is not operating smoothly, refer to our trouble-shooting guide.
